Barrington Hills Police Department participated in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s St. Patrick’s Day traffic enforcement campaign. Barrington Hills Police Department’s participation in this statewide traffic safety initiative was fully funded by a grant awarded by the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Safety Programs & Engineering. Barrington Hills Police Department conducted specialized traffic enforcement, which resulted in the following:

- One motorist was charged with driving while their license was suspended or revoked.

- 3 citations for distracted driving violations.
- 25 citations for other moving or non-moving violations.
