HOUSE WATCH
Planning your next vacation or business trip?
An important step in preparing to be away is notifying the Barrington Hills Police Department by requesting a house watch.
Submitting a house watch request alerts patrol officers that your home will be unoccupied, allowing them to conduct periodic perimeter checks and ensure that nothing unusual is occurring at your property. Please note that checks are conducted as time, call volume, and manpower permit.
This program is designed to supplement, not replace your existing security measures such as alarm systems, lighting, and trusted neighbors.
How to Submit a Request
House watch requests may be submitted through the Department’s secure web portal, provided by Frontline Public Safety Solutions:
After submitting your request, you will see a confirmation window and also receive an email from [email protected] confirming receipt. If you do not receive both, please contact the Department for assistance.
Important Notes
- Your watch will automatically end at 11:59 PM on the date you specify.
- If you return earlier than expected—or need to extend your absence—please contact the Department to cancel or update your request.
- Outside business hours, please call QuadCom Dispatch at (847) 428-8784.
