Barrington Hills Police conducted a successful St. Patrick’s Day enforcement period, resulting in 31 citations for speeding. Additionally, officers issued 18 citations for other enforcement contacts.
“We strongly enforce traffic laws for one reason—to save lives,” said Sergeant David M. Kann. “Whether it’s alcohol, cannabis or another drug, impaired driving puts everyone at risk.”
The Barrington Hills Police Department joined forces with state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners in the St. Patrick’s Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Drive High. Get a DUI” enforcement campaign.
This enforcement effort was made possible through federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
