On Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 11:03 am, Barrington Hills Police responded for a three-vehicle crash with injuries at Alqonquin Road and Old Sutton Road.

The preliminary investigation indicates a 2000 Peterbilt semi-dump truck travelling north on Old Sutton Road, entered the intersection and collided with a 2010 Ford work truck that was travelling eastbound on Algonquin Road.  The Ford then struck a 2011 Honda Pilot that was travelling west on Algonquin Road.  The semi-truck overturned spilling its load of gravel.

Barrington Countryside Fire transported a total of four victims to St. Alexius Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.  The semi truck driver was treated on the scene and released.

Alqonquin Road was closed between Dundee Road and Bateman Road for more than four hours while the scene was cleaned up.
